The Future of Music

Sweden is one of only four net music-exporting nations in the world. The same ecosystem that produced Max Martin and Avicii also produced Spotify and Epidemic Sound. But the forces reshaping the industry, AI, shifting platform economics, new models for rights and ownership, are moving fast. The question is no longer whether the industry will change, but who will be in the room when the terms are set.

Together, Stockholm Music Week and SSE House of Innovation are convening a half-day program bringing together music executives, technology leaders, researchers, creators and investors.

This is an invitation-only event with limited capacity.

Program

The program will feature the global premiere of the first academic case study on AI and the music industry, developed jointly by SSE House of Innovation and Harvard Business School. Leading voices from Harvard, YouTube, Spotify, the music industry and the creative community will join conversations and panels on the questions defining the industry’s next chapter.

Additional speakers and the full program will be announced in the coming weeks.

Stockholm Music Week is a new international meeting place in one of the world's leading music nations. For one week, the music industry, the tech sector, business, government and academia come together to address the questions that will shape the future of the industry. Stockholm Music Week takes place 22–29 April 2026 across Stockholm.
